The FLUX Beambox is a powerful machine that is equipped with a 40W CO2 laser tube operating at 10,640 nm. It can cut and engrave on wood, leather, cardboard, acrylic, rubber, foods, and also engrave on anodized aluminum and stainless steel. The Beambox employs a high-resolution laser smaller than the width of a human hair that engraves with 0.05 mm layer depths at 1,000 DPI resolution. Moreover, this smart desktop laser cutter is equipped with premium quality rails making for increased stability and durability. It is a safe and smartly designed fully enclosed device with intuitive user interface and smart lid detection: the machine is put on hold automatically in case the lid has been opened during operation.  Besides, the machine can be shut down manually by using a single emergency power switch.

The FLUX Beambox Compact model is equipped with an integrated ventilation system. The laser creates smoke and fumes when operating, so a powerful air pump and exhaust extracts smoke and fumes that may occur during the cutting process. Apart from this, the integrated ventilation devices prevent material from catching fire. The filters have to be purchased additionally. There is also an air assist system that blows the smoke away from the laser lens and keep it clean. In case you'd like to unlock the full potential of the machine and engrave on curved objects (e.g. glassware, bottles), you can purchase an easy-to-install rotary add-on for the machine.

Compared to the Beambox Pro model, the FLUX Beambox Compact features a maximum power of 40W CO2 laser vs. the 50W one and the laser cutting thickness up to 10 mm vs. 12 mm (varies by material).

Compatible materials

The FLUX Beambox is equipped with a powerful 40W CO2 laser which can shape, cut, and engrave organic materials and even engrave certain metals such as stainless steel with the specialized coating (FLUX Stainless Steel Coating). This gives you the ability to easily create unique and personalized designs. In the picture below, you will find the maximum cutting thickness for each material supported by the Compact model.

Working area

The maximum working area of the Beambox is 400 x 375 mm, which is enough for professional and household use.

There is a honeycomb structure tray for materials that are up to 3 cm thick. The tray can be adjusted manually or removed to accommodate materials up to 8 cm thick.

Machine controls

The Beambox can be controlled remotely via Ethernet or Wi-Fi. It is also possible to import your files to the Beambox directly using USB or choose from the recent task list on the touch panel. The machine's built-in color touchscreen with a neat-looking UI is perfectly suitable for effortless standalone operation.

The Beambox laser cutter and engraver works with Beam Studio — free in-house developed hassle-free software that provides a smooth crafting experience. Besides, there's also an iOS/Android app Beam Go that lets you control the device remotely. The highly integrated software lets you edit texts, vector graphic (monochrome, gray scale), bitmap images, align and distribute objects, and more. 

The built-in camera alignment and preview option is one of the most interesting and useful features that the Beambox offers. Thanks to the built-in HD camera, one can place and preview the design on any material as well as rotate it and scale to see what the final result will look like.
